Saros Feedback
As a client of Saros Research you will notice that whenever you are supplied with
respondent profiling documents for your projects, there are non-printing fields headed 'feedback'.
We fully appreciate how busy you are directly after conducting fieldwork, and that you have client expectations
to manage as well as a debrief to write, also that all your concerns about the recruitment are now over and done
with in the past... however if you can possibly spare just a few minutes, whilst the fieldwork is fresh in your
mind to feed back to us about how we did, it is incredibly valuable and will help us improve our service to you in
the future.
We simply ask you to indicate whether a respondent showed up punctually as arranged, whether you felt they
deviated from the agreed specification in any respect, and your overall judgement of their contribution on the
following
scale:
Which we hope will take you very little time! But there is of course a space to give more detailed
feedback about any outstandingly memorable respondents you encounter on your project. Any 'star' respondents
in particular, it's great to know what made their contributions stand out... for example a particularly creative
respondent, someone who is not afraid to differ from a group consensus, someone who is very quick to 'get' your
client's elusive concept etc etc. This all helps us find the 'special' person next time...
Feedback is all about improvement - collecting data for its own sake is worthless. We have regular
internal training and project review sessions, where we share experiences, cascade learning, and work toward
continual improvement of the service we offer and experience provided for all concerned.
We also solicit feedback from every respondent who we place in research - to find out what we can improve about
our processes and communications, whether they have any 'afterthought' gems we can pass on to you, and also this
helps us to pick up on any unexpected problems with venues or transport etc. Respondents often have a lot to
say about their research participation, hopefully mostly positive.... anything that is a cause for concern we pass
on straight away of course.
If you'd like to read a selection of anonymous comments from past Saros participants we have collected a few for
you here
