Saros Respondents
Here are some recent comments from participants who have taken part in projects for us... client and
respondent anonymity has been protected.
I enjoyed it. The subject was interesting and the moderator was very
responsive to our comments, whether they were positive or negative regarding the subject. She often asked us to
clarify or elaborate what we meant; but in a constructive rather than pushy way. I thought the session was very
well organised
The lady who contacted me on the telephone re the xxxxx exercise was extremely
friendly and very efficient
I did like the fact that its wasn't made known which company the observer
was from to prevent people from holding back their opinions.
I found this research really interesting. It was imaginative and well
thought through and made me feel properly engaged. The moderator was professional and courteous and the material
presented was varied and broad based.
Recruiters and organisers for the event were also very helpful on the
phone, going an extra mile to ensure they're job was done.
I thought the venue was easy to get to and easy to find. I was very
grateful for the refreshments as it was a hot day and the tube was very uncomfortable.
The research was interesting, the moderators were engaging and fun
to work with, and the activities were also interesting and engaging

Good idea to have your client discussing the topic with us. It meant that they could get
out of us what they needed and ask us questions spontaneously

The moderator handled the group very well, allowing plenty of
time (but not too much) for each person to voice their thoughts.
The questions they asked me ... were bizarre - if you were an
animal which one would you be and why? What has that got to do with lipstick..?
The organisers handled everything well, and when there were some technical hitches the program
was easily adapted to fit around them. The structure was good and the content interesting.
I enjoyed it, almost like a night out with friends... but with no alcohol!
The invitation and follow up contacts were done in a very
efficient and professional manner
Communication has been very good and any questions that I had were
responded to promptly and the quality of the answer was very good. Saros make sure the person knows all about the
research being carried out and makes sure you get to where you need to be safety.
I absolutely loved the whole experience, the guys at xxxxxxxxx were
brilliant, they gave us amazing food, all the refreshments we needed and made us feel like home.
The research itself was conducted in a free and natural way. The moderator
gave pointers to direct the conversation and let the group come up with their ideas and feelings on topics and
statements. The level of contribution for each participant varied quite considerable which is probably to be
expected given the diversity of personality recruited.
My selection, the confirmation that I was successful and the details
regarding the research I was to take part in was executed, in my opinion, to a very high standard and showed years
of experience organising individuals for research groups.
The interviewer was very good in asking her questions and gave me plenty
of time to look at the web pages and give my opinion.
The structure of the event was imaginative and inspirational and
encouraged a high level of engagement on the part of the participants.
As this was my first experience with the organisation I was concerned that
I might be placing myself in a vunerable position - attending a venue in Manchester at night on my own. Once I
received proper instructions I felt more comfortable.
I thought it was very interesting. The homework we had to fill in was a
bit odd but when we did the research discussion I realised that they were trying to find out how people viewed the
brand and what type of person they identified the product with. I think he did well to get people thinking and
coming out with their thoughts.
Clearly some individuals attending are more open than others and more
focused on providing helpful support to the ongoing process. I felt that the group were encouraged to relax with
each other by the approach taken by the moderator and this encouraged people to talk.
